HOW TO PLAY

Downset is a tap-based number-matching puzzle. Tap cells to reroll their numbers. When neighbors match, they clear. Chain reactions score big. Each mode puts a unique twist on the core mechanic.

CHOOSE A MODE

Count down. Think ahead.
4-directional only. Numbers count down instead of randomizing. No hints.
☣ZOMBIE
The dead don't stay down.
Cleared cells rise as zombies that spread infection. Purge them with wildcards.
✦CLASSICBETA
Where it all started. Learn the basics.
8-directional matching with hints. The best way to learn Downset.
◆STRICTBETA
No starting matches. Earn every clear.
Same rules as Classic, but the board starts with zero adjacent matches.
◇MATCHBOXBETA
Eliminate all pairs to win.
Win by removing every matching neighbor pair, not by clearing cells.

CORE MECHANICS

TAP TO REROLL. Each cell has 3 taps before it locks.

MATCHING. When a rerolled cell matches a neighbor, both clear.
CASCADING. Cleared cells can expose new matches that chain-clear automatically.
