CHOOSE A MODE
UNIVERSAL PRINCIPLES
THINK IN CLUSTERS, NOT CELLS
New players tap one cell at a time and hope for matches. Experienced players think about regions. Before you tap, scan the 3×3 area around your target. Which neighbors could match after a reroll? How many taps does that neighbor have left? The best moves create opportunities in multiple directions at once.
TAP ECONOMY
Every cell gets only 3 taps. That means every tap is an investment. Don't waste taps on isolated cells with no matchable neighbors; you'll just lock them for a −50 penalty. Prioritize cells that are surrounded by active neighbors with similar values.
CHAIN SCORING IS EXPONENTIAL
Clearing 2 cells earns 20 points (10 each). Clearing 7 cells in one chain earns 280 points (40 each). That's a 14× difference. Always look for the move that clears the most cells in a single cascade, not the move that clears the most cells overall across multiple taps.
WILDCARDS WIN GAMES
A wildcard appears when a cell uses all its taps, has no active neighbors, and passes a 10% roll. They're rare and powerful: a single wildcard can clear a dozen cells. Don't tap a wildcard impulsively. Tapping it picks a random value from those still on the board and clears every cell with that number. The more cells sharing one value, the bigger the payoff, so wait until you see a dominant number before pulling the trigger.
