DOWNSET MODE

The signature mode. Instead of random rerolls, each tap decrements the cell's number by 1 (9 → 8 → 7 → ... → 0 → 9). Matching is 4-directional only (no diagonals). No hints. This mode rewards mental math and planning.

KEY DIFFERENCES

TIPS

• Count ahead: if a cell is 5 and its neighbor is 3, that's 2 taps to match
• Look for cells that are already 1 apart from a neighbor
• 4-directional means corner cells are less connected. Clear edges first
